Restaurant week, fall 2018 & Spring 2019 — Pipe dream

As Arts & Culture Editor of Pipe Dream, Binghamton University’s student-run newspaper, I direct, edit, and help publish the bi-annual publication of our Restaurant Week special issue. My job consisted of contacting local restaurants and businesses, sending reporters and photographers to the establishments, editing each article, overseeing photographs and finalizing the design for the issue. This fall and spring, Arts & Culture reviewed a total of 15 Binghamton restaurants.

2019 SEX ISSUE — pipe dream

The Arts & Culture and News section of Pipe Dream published our annual special Sex Issue for the 2019 academic year. Working together, we created a sex survey that received over 600 anonymous student responses, edited and published sex and health related articles, collaborated with the design and photo team and ultimately oversaw the entire issue.

digital summer intensives — craig newmark school of journalism at CUNY

During the summer of 2018, I attended a two-week summer intensives program in New York City specifically for digital journalism skills. Over the course of the weeks, I interviewed a diverse range of New Yorkers on the street and asked questions including "What makes you a New Yorker?” and “How do you feel about the current political climate and its involvement with the media?” I also shot video footage featuring New Yorkers on the job and live reported the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
